Be a part of making a mark on the future of living in Downtown Bakersfield.

Fashioned to fit in a neighborhood of historic print shops, 918 is a new concept in luxury living for Bakersfield. An homage to the makers and creators that worked to build proud printing houses here, this project is all about reimagining our personal, collective, and citywide identities to meet the times. Located in the heart of Eastchester, within walking distance from 17th Place and Cafe Smitten, we continue to build synergy as we capitalize on the momentum in this most promising pocket of downtown.

918 will offer a boutique hotel vibe with an elevator and interior corridors, central green space for residents, a roof terrace, and close proximity to employment, commercial and residential opportunities downtown. As it is with hand-set typography, the attention to care and craftsmanship in this development will leave a physical imprint on our city, a tangible impression on the future of this place we call home. Be a part of making a mark – in a form of indelible ink - on the future of living in this city.

In theory, letters that are “type height” or at least 0.918 inches can be printed with a press
